Ingredients:
Makes one pie
- 1 9" deep pie tin, pre-baked dough lined
- 1 Cup of White Karo syrup
- 3 Large eggs[slightly beaten]
- 1/8 teaspoon of salt
- 1 cup of sugar
- 1 teaspoon of vanilla
- 2 tablespoons of melted butter
- 1 cup of chopped pecans and about forty pecan halves for
spreading on top of pie to make pretty!!
Instructions and Comments:
Heat the oven to 400 degrees.
Mix all the ingedients together[except pecan halves]
Place pecan halves on top of pie, drizzle a little syrup on the pecan halves, just lightly covering.
Pour into the pie shell,bake for 15 mins. at 400 then turn oven down to 350 for 35 mins. or less, watch to make sure top doesn't burn.
Remove when it looks like the most beautiful pie you've ever seen, cool for an hour and enjoy with a giant scoop of vanilla ice cream on top!!! Or Not!! With or without Ice Cream it's wonderful...........
