Basics
There are two types of Savory, summer and winter. The two types are a bit hart to tell apart but winter is a bit more pungent.
Producers
Savory grows and is cultivated the same as mint and other herbs. I like greenhouse grown savory, as its leaves are bigger and easier to use.
Aromatics and Flavors
Savory smells and tastes like Mint and Rosemary chopped together. A very strong herb that should be used sparingly.
Culinary Uses
Use sparingly, Savory is a very strong herb. I like it in clear broth soups with noodles, it adds a nice fresh taste. Mix with Thyme and Oregano in tomato sauces or chopped into salad greens.
